Leon had already seen Smoke Connoisseur pipes in some of the top lounges and on social media. He knew our reputation: British-built hookahs, precision-machined in Coventry, the historic home of automotive engineering.

He reached out because he wanted something he couldn’t buy anywhere else:

Designing a Champion’s Hookah: From Concept to 1 of 1

We started with our Smoke Connoisseur MVR platform – already a precision instrument, designed for ultra-smooth airflow and effortless pull.

Then we stripped everything back and rebuilt it around Leon.

24 Carat Gold Plated Centre Column

The heart of the pipe is the gold plated central column. Using 24 carat gold, we created a mirror-like finish that catches every bit of light in the gym, lounge or home.

Down the spine runs his name in bold raised lettering:

It’s not a sticker and not a simple laser mark – it’s deep, tactile branding that you feel every time you lift the pipe. Like the embossing on a luxury steering wheel badge, it’s built to last.

“Headshot” & Championship Moments

On the underside of the tray, we added a subtle nod to the moment that changed everything – a clean, minimal illustration of Leon landing his iconic head-kick KO.

Delivery Day: Handing Over the Gold MVR to Leon Edwards

We didn’t want this to be a simple “drop off and disappear”. So we took the pipe to where Leon’s story is still being written: the gym.

The hookah arrived in a custom Smoke Connoisseur presentation box – black with sharp white lines, like a track outline. Inside, the gold MVR sat cradled in foam, ready for its first reveal.

As Leon opened the box, the first thing that hit was the weight.
Real metal. Real engineering. Real gold.

Then he lifted it out, the 24K gold catching the gym lights, reflecting off the bags, the chains and the posters on the wall. His name running down the column, the “Headshot” detail, the knockout artwork on the tray – every element told part of his journey from Birmingham to world champion.
